Disney's Secret Menu!!!

Nope! I didn't know this either!!! I was well versed in the "Don't Pass Up" items that are well known, (the non-dairy Dole Whip, for example), but I didn't know that there were items NOT LISTED on the menus that are available if one just asks. Take for instance, the picture here. This is a picture of The Rio Grande Nachos at Pecos Bill Inn at the Magic Kingdom. I won't go into details, because these are no longer on the menu..but who knew?

And what if you don't know? My sources say to google Disney's secret menu just before you go. I say to do it sooner. Though the menu items might change, (like these delectable nachos), you might find a food that is in a place that recommends reservations. The other suggestion is to ask the cast member who is serving you. At Disney, secret means SPECIAL...not "DON'T LET ANYONE KNOW." The cast members will delight in telling you! Not sure what dining location you want to go to? Ask a cast member on the street or in a store. All cast members are trained to ask questions that will help point you in the most magical direction for YOU!!!

All that said, here are some secret items that I found online. Keep in mind that Secret Items change. IF I find out that something is not longer there, I will update. But please don't rely on me!

THE TEN GALLON CHALLENGE

Served at The Wilderness Lodge's Whispering Canyon, this sweet delight is something to behold. It is served in a plastic cowboy hat and comes with 4 different scopes of ice cream, an slice of apple pie, marshmallows, chocolate, and BACON. The last I have found, the cost is $27 which isn't bad, considering it will feed four or 5 people easily. (As I researched, I have come to feel that this isn't secret...but, well, I never knew about it, so I'm including it here!)

ALL STAR MOVIE RESORT

In researching "Disney Secret Menu Items," I was surprised to find quite a few that are served at the All Star Movie Resort. [A little aside here: I have not gone from resort to resort just to check them out, before. But you can bet that my next trip, (in July), will consist of a lot of resort hopping. Now that I have unlocked that magic and realize it doesn't stop when you exit a park, I am excited to experience a whole new world, (cue Aladdin).]

First, when you enter the All Star Movie Resort Food Court, go straight to the Roxy counter and ask about the secret menu items. At risk of spoiling it for you, I will tell you that, as of right now, when you ask, you will be presented with a metal briefcase in which there are four old View Master toys. Each one shows pictures of secret menu items. Specifically, There is a Cinnamon Bun and

Candied Bacon Cheeseburger, A Bacon Mac and Cheese Dog, and Poutine with Gravy and Cheese curds.

OHANA BREAD PUDDING

This is not listed on the menu, but is available at Kona Restaurant located in the Polynesian Village.

ALSO AT THE POLYNESIAN VILLAGE

Trader Sams serves a Rum-spiked Dole Whip!!! Not to mention the other amazing beverages they have! There are a few drinks that come with restaurant-wide special effects. Out of the few, my favorite is the Hurricane!!!!!

I am going to close this blog out now. But boy do I have so many ideas to go with!!! I think my next blog will focus on EPCOT. They have secret menu items, as well as little-known beverage offerings in each land. And, before I work on that one, I have to sit and replan my July trip. :)

MAGICALLY! J
