Order food on the go!!

We all know what it's like to be going from attraction to attraction. When we finally decide it's time to stop and eat, SOMEONE in that party is already HANGRY!!! (ANgry because they are HunGRY. Picture the "Not yourself" Snickers commercials). In addition, you have places to go and things to do, so you don't want to wait in a long line!! RIGHT?

Disney has come up with yet another Magical solution. You will need to have the "MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE" app downloaded, but that should have been done long before you start your vacation.

When you open the app, tap on the picture at the bottom of the screen. (You can see that my picture is of Goofy). When the next page opens, you will see the option "Order Food." Tap that. Now you will see a list of the Quick Service restaurants that offer Mobile ordering.

Here is a list of some interesting aspects of this option:

1. PAYMENT:

You will have to pay when you order. You can either pay using your Disney Dining Plan or by credit or debit card. If you have the Dining Plan and do not want to use it, you do not have to. Instead, just pay by card.

2. SNACKS, too.

This option is available for snacks as well. Some vendors that only offer snacks do have the Mobile ordering option. You will know if it is listed when you select "Order Food."

3. CHOICES ARE INCREASING:

Almost on a daily basis, Disney is adding Quick Service options to the app. If you check it out before you leave, do not assume that a place that wasn't listed then is not listed now.

4. PICKING UP:

When you arrive at the restaurant, select that "I am here" option and proceed to the Mobile Order Pick up line. Now, I have listened to several Disney podcasts to see how this works. In every case, there has been a little wait, but nothing like waiting in the long line. One Podcaster, (is that a word?), suggested selecting the "I am here," as you are walking to the restaurant. His idea was that they would begin preparing your food immediately, and, thus, alleviating more of a wait once you arrive. In any case, you can rest assured that your food will not be COLD when you arrive, well, unless it's ice cream!!! LOL
