If you are staying on property, you have the opportunity to enroll in the Disney Dining Plan. There are three different plans to choose from. I'll discuss that in a different post. For now, I am going to discuss some of the amazing benefits of the plan in general!!!
1. THE MAGIC BAND:
You don't have to carry your purse around with you if you are on the Dining Plan. Whether you're just getting a snack or you're having a sit-down meal, when the time comes to pay, hold out your arm, let them scan your Magic Band and, poof, bill paid.
2. RAPID FILL MUGS:
Included in the Dining Plan, each Rapid Fill Mug has a microchip in the bottom that is linked to your account. Thirsty? At any Disney Resort you will find a self-dispenser that is programmed to read your microchip. Fill it up and go!!!
3. GREAT FOR PLANNING AND BUDGETING:
The Dining Plan is only available to people staying on property and is included in the package price. So, once you've arrived for your vacation, the meals on your Dining Plan are already budgeted and paid for. The amount, of course, depends on the plan you choose, but still, you arrive with some or most or all of your meals paid for.
4. ALCOHOL AND SPECIALTY BEVERAGES:
Beginning in 2018, guests who are 21 or older can enjoy an alcoholic drink on the Dining Plan. Additionally, if one is not looking for an alcoholic drink, specialty beverages, such as mild shakes, are now included!!!!! (Boy it is a good year to have become a Disney Travel Agent!! :P)
5. SO MANY CHOICES:
One of the most amazing perks is the ability to use the Dining Plan at all restaurants/quick serve places at any park and AT ALL THE RESORTS!!! That's right!! Even if you aren't staying at the Polynesian Village you can have Tonga Toast for breakfast there...or any where else for that matter. As a matter of fact, many of the restaurants in Disney Springs also accepts the Dining Plan.
So what are you waiting for? Go Eat!!!! (Trust me...with all the walking you do, you won't need to count calories!)
