I have so much to report. From transportation suggestions to meal ideas. This was my first trip back to Walt Disney World after becoming an authorized Disney travel agent. Prior to going, I had done hours of research, listened to hours of podcasts, and, of course, dreamed. I had so many eye opening experiences that I am excited to share. I literally have THOUSANDS of pictures and, with each picture, a morsel of advice - From dos and don'ts to MUSTS and MUST NOTS.

I'm not sure, exactly how I will organize the information. I think I will go by land. I will add pictures, etc. Any advice I have I will also put under the specific land tab for all to find.

My biggest take-away? If you plan to eat more than one meal on property, (at a Disney Resort/hotel or at a park), you absolutely save money by using the Disney Dining Plan. By this, I mean the middle plan named "Disney Dining Plan." This plan includes the following per night that you are staying on property, (It is NOT available if you are not staying at a Disney Resort):

Each person in the room will get:

1 Table Service Meal

1 Quick Service Meal

2 Snacks

a refillable cup to be used at any resort, but not at the park

PER NIGHT THAT YOU STAY.

So, for this trip, it was me, my daughter and her friend. Three people. We stayed on property only 2 nights. Each of us got what is listed above for 2 nights. Patrons have until MIDNIGHT the day they check out to use all the points. So, total, for all of us, we had the following:

6 Table Service Points

6 Quick Service Points

12 Snacks

and, of course, the refillable cups.

With the price of the Disney Dining plan, it works out to be about $35 for table service, $15 for quick service, and $5 per snack. The key is finding meals worth more than that, (NOT difficult at all). In one day, the price of our Table Service meal totaled $163.00 ...(For 3 people). We used our Table Service points, with the value of $105. And there you see, in one quick meal, we saved money.

Another key to using the dining plan points is finding complete meals for Quick Service, as opposed to a burger and fries. We had not problem with that!!!! There are plenty of healthy, yummy options that cost more than $15.

And, finally, we looked for big snacks so that we cashed in one point for a snack and shared. There is an amazing snack just across from the Christmas Store at the Magic Kingdom. They have a Nutella waffle. Basically, it is a regular sized waffle with hazelnut paste, strawberries and whipped cream. Delicious...and plenty to share!!!

So, now that I have tickled your curiosity, please check back OFTEN. I plan to add a post daily for a while. There is so much to share!!!
